Watery GraveStomping Ground, Watery Grave and Sacred Foundry fell sharply in Scryfall’s USD prices ahead of their Star Trek reprints, with Sacred Foundry dropping from $10.30 on November 4 to $2.04 on November 5, 2026. The next day brought a partial rebound for Sacred Foundry and Stomping Ground, while Watery Grave slipped further.

The timing points to incoming supply. Wizards’ October 28 release announcement scheduled Star Trek for November 13, 2026, with prerelease events running November 6 through November 12. The sharp November 5 falls therefore preceded the start of prerelease, rather than following the set’s scheduled release.

Three Lands Reach Recorded Lows

Stomping Ground fell from $7.23 on November 4 to $2.42 on November 5, then recovered to $3.74 on November 6. That left it well below its October 30 price of $6.53, despite the bounce. Its $2.42 trough was the lowest USD price in Scryfall’s 180-day history.

Stomping Ground rebounded on November 6 after reaching its recorded 180-day USD low.

Sacred FoundryWatery Grave moved from $8.87 on November 4 to $4.51 on November 5 and $4.47 on November 6, its recorded 180-day low. Sacred Foundry’s $2.04 low on November 5 also set a floor for that window, but its November 6 price recovered to $3.88. Neither recovery returned those lands to their earlier ranges.

Stomping Ground Quotes Differ Across Sellers

Stomping GroundLow Stomping Ground quotes also appeared outside Scryfall. SpellBook Finance reported a $2.78 TCGplayer market price for the TRK version on November 6, alongside a $2.41 TCGplayer low and $5.99 Card Kingdom retail price. Those are different measures, and the retail quote was more than twice the reported market price.

Special treatments carried much higher prices. Mana Market Watch’s November 6 report listed Star Trek showcase preorder quotes checked November 5 at $16.92 for Stomping Ground, $26.49 for Watery Grave and $20.31 for Sacred Foundry. Those art premiums make the version essential when comparing a retailer’s offer with a headline shockland price.

The currency moves were uneven too. From November 5 to November 6, Scryfall’s EUR prices fell from €5.90 to €5.36 for Stomping Ground, €8.70 to €8.27 for Watery Grave and €8.19 to €7.71 for Sacred Foundry. All three remained at 0.02 tix on MTGO on both dates.

Most of the Cycle Fell

The decline extended beyond the three largest headline moves. Scryfall’s USD prices for the other seven shocklands changed as follows from October 30 to November 6, 2026:

Temple GardenTemple Garden followed the abrupt-drop-and-rebound pattern: it reached $2.47 on November 5 before recovering to $2.74 on November 6. Hallowed Fountain moved the other way over the week, so the cycle’s repricing was broad without being uniform.

Modern Use Has Not Collapsed

Published Modern lists for the week of November 2 still included Stomping Ground in 25 of 286 decks (8.7%), Watery Grave in 38 of 286 (13.3%) and Sacred Foundry in 53 of 286 (18.5%). Each appeared in a larger share of that week’s lists than in the week of October 26, when their shares were 6.9%, 11.5% and 15.8%, respectively.

We read the synchronized declines as likely repricing ahead of incoming supply, rather than players abandoning these lands in Modern. Watery Grave remains part of Dimir Frog and Esper Blink, while Sacred Foundry continues to serve Boros Energy and Ruby Storm.

Star Trek Releases November 13

Star Trek’s November 13, 2026 release is the next supply milestone. Watch whether the November 6 recoveries in Stomping Ground and Sacred Foundry hold as the set reaches release, and whether the gap between Stomping Ground’s marketplace and retail quotes narrows.
