Dark Matter Manipulator Climbs 25.1% on MTGO as Envelop Falls
Dark Matter Manipulator and Black Lotus reached their recorded monthly highs on November 5, while Envelop hit its low.

Dark Matter Manipulator rose from 8.05 tix on October 29 to 10.07 tix on November 5, a 25.1% weekly gain on MTGO, with recent Modern and Legacy Challenge wins supporting demand for four-copy builds. Its recorded prices also show a much longer climb: from 2.46 tix on October 7, it gained about 309% across the month.
Black Lotus gained more in tickets over the same week, climbing from 59.51 to 78.80 tix, while Envelop fell from 3.84 to 1.31 tix. Their tournament appearances tell different stories: Black Lotus remains nearly ubiquitous in Vintage, and Envelop's Pauper presence increased in the latest weekly sample despite its falling price.
Dark Matter Manipulator Has Four-Copy Tournament Demand
Dark Matter Manipulator is a one-mana creature that mills 3 cards when it enters and gains power as your graveyard fills. Its clearest competitive homes put both jobs to work: Modern Rakdos Midrange and Legacy Dimir Hogaak.
The published weekly counts total 164 appearances across the last 14 days: 116 in Modern, 36 in Legacy, 6 in Pioneer and 6 in Standard. Modern's archetype breakdown assigns 115 of those appearances, one fewer than its weekly total, with Rakdos Midrange accounting for 89. Legacy's concentration is sharper still: Dimir Hogaak accounts for 27 lists and Sultai Hogaak another 5.
mei0024 went 8-1 to win the November 1 Modern Challenge with 4 copies alongside Nethergoyf, Street Wraith, Moonshadow and Detective's Phoenix, as MTGO's published list shows. TheWitchKling then went 8-0 to win the November 4 Legacy Challenge with 4 copies beside Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis, Moonshadow and Stitcher's Supplier in the winning Hogaak build. Those are full-playset commitments in winning decks.
But the price increase began earlier. Dark Matter Manipulator had already climbed from 2.46 tix on October 7 to 6.31 tix on October 22, before gazmon48's October 24 Modern Challenge win. The November results are a plausible contributor to the later rise, rather than an explanation for the entire month's move.

The attention also extended beyond tournament standings. In an October 31 Hogaak post, B24lib credited Dark Matter Manipulator with bringing Hogaak back to eternal formats, including Vintage. That discussion arrived after most of October's price increase, but before the final push above 10 tix.
Black Lotus Gains 32.4% Without a New Deck Role
Black Lotus's MTGO price history puts it at 78.80 tix on November 5, up 32.4% from 59.51 tix on October 29. That is the top of its recorded monthly range of 49.85 to 78.80 tix, and a gain of 19.29 tix in 7 days.
Its Vintage use is extensive rather than newly emerging. Black Lotus appeared in 207 published lists across the reported 14-day period: 83 of 88 in the week of October 19, 93 of 112 in the week of October 26 and 31 of 32 in the week of November 2. The latest sample is small, and the earlier one already had it in almost every list.
jake-upLVT's November 5 winning list included 1 Black Lotus in an 8-1 Vintage Challenge finish, consistent with its restricted status. We would not treat that result as a fresh adoption signal: the card was already present in 83 of 88 published lists two weekly snapshots earlier.
Envelop Falls Despite Continued Pauper Use
Envelop moved the other way. Its recorded MTGO prices fell 65.9%, from 3.84 tix on October 29 to 1.31 tix on November 5, finishing at the bottom of its monthly 1.31 to 3.86 tix range. It was still 3.86 tix on October 31 before dropping to 2.14 tix on November 1.

The decline ran against its latest Pauper inclusion figures. Envelop appeared in 41 published lists over the reported 14 days, including 17 of 217 in the week of October 26 and 15 of 117 in the week of November 2. Its share increased from 7.8% to 12.8% even as its price collapsed.
ChaoticMTG had already won the October 24 Pauper Challenge with 2 sideboard copies in the published Familiars list. Mono-Blue Terror accounts for 13 of Envelop's reported appearances, with further use in Esper Midrange and Mono-Blue Faeries. The next Pauper lists will show whether that higher inclusion rate persists after the price reset.
